I’m not a fan of meshed nipples, and after editing them off, I didn’t keep the original base. You could maybe check with Syn though.

I know it could be asking alot, but im just getting into meshing, and im trying to make a showerproof skintone, only problem is the tutorial im using is 4 years old, so doesnt work with the new simpe, would you ever tink of writing a tutorial on it, seeing youre so good at doing it? .. would loves you forever!!

also, an easier way to do it is to use bodyshop and edit an existing LBB skintone by simply copying and pasting. You can get a LBBv2 skintone from Crayonsarefun at MTS2, i think s/he’s made one. Just open sims bodyshop and create genetics. first export the skintone you want on your sim. then after you’ve exported that skintone, go back to creat new genetics and export the already existing skintone (from crayonsarefun). Leave bodyshop alone for a bit (minimize/push to the side) and open up your SIms 2 folder and find the projects folder. Copy only all the picture files of the skintone you want and then paste them into the folder of the skintone from crayonsare fun. all the picture files should be replaced. then go back to bodyshop and hit the refresh button. you should see the skintone you want on the mannequin thing. Hit import to game and you should now have a showerproof skintone assuming that crayonsarefun’s skintone was showerproof all along.

Ive only just started making meshes, the tutorial im sure is 100% correct, altho they are saying to look in the plugins area at the bottom of SimPe to find things, that just arent there in the version im using, 0.68, compared to their 0.48, Ive asked around a few sites for help, but i think people assume i know what im doing, when im justa nublette experimenting to try and learn, problem is, i cant learn because i dont know enough about the new programs to use the old tutorials along side them

Yep – Jay’s suggestion works. I would have done them myself, but I have been extremely busy with work lately. There is also a tutorial at Theo’s Shack (http://theos.chewbakkas.net/tutorials/tutorial-mesh-linking.html) that I used, which you can use also to change the mesh (the one I used was the LBB 2 with Marvine’s feet).

I tried the tutorial using the color binning tool, i just couldnt make it work. But as ive said im real new to it all, and even though i followed it exactly, it just didnt make my custom mesh work with a custom skin. What could i possibly be doing wrong?

Well, a couple of things could be wrong. The most common thing would probably be testing it in the wrong place. The custom mesh only shows when the sim is nude (when the censor appears, for example, while showering). Applying a mesh to work with outfits is a completely different (and more difficult) story. Another problem could be that the meshes aren’t in the Downloads folder.

Definitely. My laptop just croaked though, so it’s off visiting Dell, and I’m going to have to wait until it’s back to finish and preview the stuff that’s finshed. There’s a couple huge sets that were almost finished, but then I found a big boo boo, so I had to fix those, and now they just need the final cleanup and previews and they’re set to go. So hopefully, everything will be up very soon.
