Welcome to day 3!! So I was finally able to complete a project I’ve been working on for a while, creating replacement meshes for the game chess pieces. It took a while to sort out the different things, but they’re finished, and ready to go!
I’ve chosen various different Alice in Wonderland characters for this. The Queen is Alice, the King is the Mad Hatter, the Bishops are the Cheshire Cat, the Rooks are the White Rabbit, the Knights are Card Soldiers, and the Pawns are Flamingos. Thanks to the awesome Nixy for use of her playing card mesh as well.
To install, just put the packages into your downloads folder, and to take them out, just remove the packages. Please keep in mind that these are default replacements, so all the chess pieces in your game will be these characters, regardless of chess boards. There is unfortunately one small issue. Due to the game’s mapping, the pieces all face the same direction. So, for these to face each like normal chess pieces, you’ll need to use the Looking Glass Chessboard uploaded here, or download these replacements for the Maxis chessboards. They will reverse the board so the pieces display properly, but these files will only work on Maxis chessboards, not any other custom ones. They work the same as the pieces. Put them in downloads to install, remove them to uninstall. The pieces will still work fine on with any other custom chessboard, just one set of the pieces will face the wrong way.
So far, I think these are the only replacement chess pieces, but just in case, don’t install new ones without removing these ones.

Incredible in both idea and execution, and rather timely at the premiering of the film too. Thank you for your lovely work!
